Last updated: 18 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Seller Republic Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use Marketplace Rankings (www.MarketplaceRankings.com) and the tools, AI chat, rank trackers, calculators, and courses we provide (the “Service”).

We’re registered in England and Wales under company number 09856798. For the purposes of UK GDPR, we are the data controller of the personal data described below.

Tap any question to expand. Full policy below.

🔐 Do you sell my personal data?

No. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share it with the processors we need to run the Service (payment, hosting, email, analytics) and where legally required.

📋 What data do you actually collect on me?

The essentials to run a SaaS tool: your name, email, account login, billing info (handled by our payment processor — we don’t store card numbers), the keywords and ASINs you track, your IP address, browser, and usage data. Full breakdown in Section 2 below.

💳 Where are my card details stored?

Not with us. Card details go directly to our PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe). We only see non-sensitive metadata like the last 4 digits and expiry — enough to show you which card is on file, nothing more.

🤖 Do you use my data to train your AI?

No. Our AI E-Com Chat is trained on a separate 1.5M-point e-commerce dataset. Your chats, keywords, notes, and prompts are not used to train or fine-tune the AI. Chat history is stored so you can reference it, and we may review flagged content for abuse and safety.

🍪 What cookies do you use?

Three categories:

  • Essential — login, session, security. Always on.
  • Analytics — StatCounter to understand usage patterns.
  • Functional — things like “remember me” and your display preferences.

We don’t run third-party advertising cookies. Full details in Section 6.

🗑️ How do I delete my account and data?

Email us from your registered address and we’ll delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days. Some data we’re legally required to retain (billing records, tax records) stays for the statutory period — usually 6 years in the UK.

📤 Can I export my data?

Yes. You have a right to a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Request it via the Contact page and we’ll send it within 30 days.

🌍 Is my data sent outside the UK/EU?

Some of our processors (hosting, analytics, email) are based outside the UK/EU. When data leaves the UK/EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards — Standard Contractual Clauses or UK equivalent — to keep it protected.

👶 Do you collect data from children?

No. The Service is for users 18+. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

⚖️ What are my GDPR rights?

Under UK and EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, and object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. See Section 10 for how to exercise them.

1. Who We Are & How to Contact Us

Data Controller: Seller Republic Limited
Company Number: 09856798 (England and Wales)
Website: www.MarketplaceRankings.com
Contact: Contact page

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please get in touch via the Contact page.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service, bill you fairly, and improve what we offer.

Data you give us directly

  • Account data — name, email address, password (stored hashed), username.
  • Billing data — billing name, country, and payment method metadata. Full card details go straight to our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
  • Content you submit — the keywords, ASINs, products, URLs, notes, and prompts you enter into the tools and AI chat.
  • Support & correspondence — messages you send us via contact forms, email, or tool request forms.
  • Comments — if you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form plus your IP address and browser user agent string, primarily for spam detection.

Data we collect automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, time spent, click patterns, referring URL.
  • Device & technical data — IP address, browser, device type, operating system, language, time zone.
  • Log data — server logs, error logs, security events.
  • Cookies & similar technologies — see Section 6.

Data we receive from third parties

  • Payment processors — transaction status, last 4 digits of card, expiry date, fraud signals.
  • Gravatar — an anonymised hash of your email may be sent to Gravatar (operated by Automattic) when you comment, to display a profile picture if you have one. See Automattic’s privacy policy.

3. How & Why We Use Your Data (Lawful Bases)

We use your personal data only where we have a lawful basis under UK/EU GDPR:

  • To deliver the Service (contract) — creating your account, running the tools, tracking keywords, generating AI outputs, providing course access, handling support.
  • To bill you (contract) — processing trial-to-paid conversions, renewals, cancellations.
  • To keep the Service secure and running (legitimate interests) — fraud prevention, abuse detection, rate limiting, debugging, backups.
  • To improve the Service (legitimate interests) — analysing usage patterns, fixing bugs, planning features.
  • To communicate with you (contract / legitimate interests) — service emails, billing receipts, policy updates, support replies.
  • To send marketing (consent / legitimate interests) — product updates and offers, only where we have your consent or a soft opt-in under PECR. You can unsubscribe in every email.
  • To comply with the law (legal obligation) — tax, accounting, anti-fraud, and lawful requests from regulators or courts.

4. User Content & AI Inputs

When you use the AI E-Com Chat, AI Product Writer, Amazon Advice Bot, or any tool that accepts input, your prompts and content are processed to generate a response. We store this content to provide chat history, rank tracking history, and usage records.

We do not use your content to train our AI models. Our AI is trained on a separate e-commerce dataset. We may access individual content where necessary for security, abuse detection, or legal compliance.

Please don’t submit sensitive personal data, login credentials, or confidential third-party information into the AI or note fields — they’re designed for product research, not secrets.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We share personal data only with the processors we need to run the Service, and only under appropriate data-processing agreements:

  • Hosting & infrastructure providers — servers, CDN, backups.
  • Payment processor — Stripe (or similar) for billing and card handling.
  • Email delivery — transactional and marketing email providers.
  • Analytics — StatCounter and/or similar privacy-respecting analytics tools.
  • Customer support tools — to triage and respond to support requests.
  • AI/LLM providers — where prompts are processed through third-party model APIs to generate outputs.
  • Spam detection — visitor comments may be checked by an automated spam detection service.
  • Professional advisers — accountants, auditors, lawyers, where required.
  • Regulators and law enforcement — where legally required or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
  • Acquirers — if we sell, merge, or restructure the business, your data may transfer to the acquiring entity under equivalent protections.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email for security purposes.

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

6. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies — login sessions, security, fraud prevention, load balancing. These are always on because the site can’t function without them.
  • Comment cookies — if you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last up to one year.
  • Login cookies — if you visit our login page we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies (discarded when you close your browser). On login, we set cookies to remember your session (2 days) and display preferences (1 year). “Remember Me” extends login to 2 weeks. A short-lived cookie (1 day) is set when you edit or publish an article, containing no personal data.
  • Analytics cookies — to understand how the site is used, what works, and what doesn’t.
  • Functional cookies — to remember preferences and settings.

You can control cookies via your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the Service.

7. Embedded Content from Other Websites

Some pages may include embedded content (videos, images, articles) from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you’d visited the source site — those sites may set their own cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, especially if you’re logged into them.

8. Media Uploads

If you upload images to the Service, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) — visitors to pages displaying those images may be able to extract that location data.

9. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain personal data only as long as we need to:

  • Account data — while your account is active, plus a short grace period for reactivation.
  • Billing records — 6 years, as required by UK tax/accounting law.
  • Tool data & chat history — while your account is active; deleted or anonymised after account closure.
  • Support correspondence — up to 3 years for quality and dispute resolution.
  • Comments — retained indefinitely so we can recognise and approve follow-ups automatically.
  • Server logs — typically 30–180 days for security and debugging.
  • Marketing lists — until you unsubscribe.

Registered users can see, edit, or delete the personal information in their profile at any time (except their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

10. Your Rights

Under UK and EU GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase — ask us to delete your personal data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to data we must legally retain.
  • Restrict — ask us to limit processing in certain circumstances.
  • Port — receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Object — to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, at any time.
  • Complain — to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or to your local EU/EEA supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Contact page from the email address on your account. We’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. International Transfers

Some of our processors are located outside the UK/EEA. When personal data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as adequacy decisions, UK International Data Transfer Agreements, or EU Standard Contractual Clauses — to keep your data protected to UK/EU standards.

12. Security

We take security seriously. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted passwords, server hardening, access controls, and regular backups. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, and destruction. If a personal data breach occurs that’s likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we’ll notify you and the ICO as required.

13. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

14. Automated Decision-Making

We don’t make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you without human involvement. Our AI features generate suggestions and estimates — they’re informational, not automated decisions about you.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes, we’ll notify you by email or a prominent notice on the site. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the current version.
